The Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation – Grant Award

We are delighted to announce that we have received an award of £1,500 from the Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation to cover the cost of a new road trailer. The trolley that we use for launching simply slides on top of the new trailer and is secured by pins to allow it to be safely transported on the road. This is a real game changer for us as it will allow us to travel to other locations to take part in regattas or simply to row in new places. Our first planned trip away is to the Avoch regatta so watch this space to see how we get on. The Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation supports good causes thanks to the legacy of its entrepreneurial founders. Gordon and Ena built Baxters into a global brand, and decided to ‘spread a little fertiliser’ in their local community. Today, the Foundation supports a huge variety of causes with the support of a board of dedicated trustees. We meet regularly throughout the year to consider applications large and small, putting Gordon and Ena’s legacy to good use.
